Gift
Objective: To develop the “Gift” mobile application with a built-in AI assistant for rapid generation of personalized gift ideas, as well as the creation of wishlists.
Methodology & Approaches
Personas & Chat Flow:
Defined key user types and developed an intuitive AI chat flow to help users quickly find relevant gift ideas and improve the overall experience.
Interactive Recommendations:
Implemented filters (budget, interests, occasion) and a CTA for instant idea refresh, making the gift search process more dynamic and personalized.
Modular UI Kit:
Designed interface components - idea cards, chat elements, and an 8px grid system - to ensure visual consistency and speed up development.
Wish Lists:
Added functionality to save favorite ideas, create themed wish lists, and share them with others. This not only improves usability but also increases the platform’s social value.
Implementation Stages
The implementation started with user research - a short survey and competitor analysis helped identify key pain points in the gift-selection process. I designed clear user flows based on budget, occasion, and recipient types.
Next, I created modular wireframes for a smooth and simple experience, including a wishlist feature for saving favorite ideas. I also developed a UI Kit with consistent typography, colors, and components, all based on an 8-pixel grid.
The final design is clean and minimal, with visual details that support AI-powered suggestions and improve usability.
